McClintock students take top honors at district film festival

McClintock High School film students brought home two of the top awards at the Tempe Union High School District film festival.
Two teams of Charger filmmakers won awards for student-produced movies. “The Cure” won first place, while “The Cheez Whiz Murders” came in third place. Both teams were given a trophy and a cash prize.
Students were tasked to create a short film with several requirements, including pre-scripted dialogue, a predetermined character and a prop: Cheese Whiz. The films were critiqued by a panel of judges from the media.
