McClintock High School film students brought home two of the top awards at the Tempe Union High School District film festival.
Two teams of Charger filmmakers won awards for student-produced movies. “The Cure” won first place, while “The Cheez Whiz Murders” came in third place. Both teams were given a trophy and a cash prize.
Students were tasked to create a short film with several requirements, including pre-scripted dialogue, a predetermined character and a prop: Cheese Whiz. The films were critiqued by a panel of judges from the media.
