Student Council is an important part of charger tradition, as they are responsible for managing student events, including dances and pep rally. Every year a new Student Council is elected, with Class elections taking place after Student Body elections.
It is now time for Class elections to take place. Only students from the previous year are allowed to run for Class positions, as they take up their responsibilities next year.
Starting with a mandatory information meeting on 4/29 in room 108, those who want to run have to complete a checklist of objectives before the next mandatory campaign meeting on 5/6.
After that meeting, runners are allowed to publicly campaign, such as set up posters and distribute messages. On the Friday of the same week, 5/10, elections open up. Every student is allowed to cast votes for who they wish to win the election, and ballots close at the end of the day. Winners are announced the following Monday.
