October has long since passed, however, that doesn’t mean we can be ignorant of the many events that take place within this famously spooky month.
National Book Month is a time when authors, publishers, booksellers and readers can honor the power of reading and writing thanks to the National Book Foundation. All sorts of mediums of reading are supported, so grab a book and a warm drink the next time fall rolls around.
ADHD Awareness is a time when those with ADHD can express their experiences, as well as dispel the many misconceptions they experience as a result of misinformation. A noteworthy event is that the ADHD Awareness Month Coalition holds a conference every year to achieve these goals.
The most commonly known campaign of October is Breast Cancer Awareness. During this time, people encourage others to share information and urge all to get scanned for any signs of breast cancer. Donations are also encouraged to support life-saving scans for those in need.
So next October, keep these campaigns in mind and the next time you can, support a cause.
