Graduation is twenty days away (as of writing this). Here is a list of guidelines to follow and things to expect.
- You will report to your assigned classroom at 6:00 pm. How do you know what classroom you are assigned to? You will find your room at the rehearsal meeting on Thursday May 28th, at 7:30am in the 5-600 buildings.
- Do not show up wearing your cap and gown (just have them with you). Additionally, decorating any graduation regalia, as well as wearing flowers, money, or candy leis is not allowed before or during the ceremony.
- Only clear bags are allowed.
- The dressing expectation includes dresses, skirts, blouses, collared shirts, dress pants, and slacks. Shoes should be dress shoes, dress sandals or heels (wedges only).
- Anyone attending the ceremony (including you) should not bring air horns, balloons, fatheads, or banners.
- You will receive a graduation program and your parent or legal guardian will receive an email copy as well.
- Keep in mind that a professional photographer will be at the ceremony taking photos. After a few days, you will receive an email or a mail order form with the option to purchase your photos.
If you have an outfit planned to wear for the ceremony, but you’re unsure if it fits the requirements, submit this google form: https://forms.gle/8nk37fRteRcb8xMC7 to check if it is allowed. Remember, failing to comply with any of these guidelines may result in you being banned from participating in the graduation ceremony.
