As you may already know, the Pre-SAT is coming up in just a few weeks, so here are some things you need to know before that time.
The test will be on Tuesday, October 22, at 7:25 AM, or the normal start time for McClintock High School. This means that you need to be here on time!
Students who are not taking the PSAT will come to school 4 hours later than usual so as to not interfere with Juniors, Freshmen, and Sophomores who are taking the test.
The buses will go early in the morning for students taking the test and will run again 4 hours later for students who are not. Students will be dismissed at 2:25 PM as usual, and Wednesday, October 23rd, will remain an Early Release Day.
For Juniors, the benefit of the PSAT is that it gives all 11th graders a chance to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program based on their scores, which will greatly benefit those who plan to attend college. For Freshmen and Sophomores, the benefit is that they get to practice these tests early before Junior year.
The test is completely free of charge, and it can only help those of you who are preparing for college. Please check the September 6th Newsletter in your school email for more information if needed. Beat that PSAT, Chargers!
