As part of the ELL Celebration and Storytelling event, Graphic Arts teacher Leanne Smith worked with ELL teacher Julie Duarte to help students create a piece of art for the evening event, held on Fri., May 11th.

Smith’s students took a photograph of each ELL student.  Then, the ELL students took some sentences of the speech they were preparing about their immigration story and learned how to imbed the words in their photograph.

The end result was a beautiful portrait that was on display at the ELL Celebration event.
