The bonfire is on Thurs., Oct. 30 from 5:30-8 pm. There is an entrance fee of $4, or you can bring five canned foods and that will cover the fee. All of the cans and money will be donated to a local food bank.
Activities will begin at 5:30. The lighting on the bonfire will start at 6:30 after the performances by the marching band, auxiliary and spirit line.
Senior Kendric Knorr is in the marching band and he said, “ It should be a lot of fun! We’re going to be playing some classic songs and some new ones.”
This will be fun filled event with lots of activities. Sophomore class is doing the dunk tank, Senior/Freshman class is holding the bungee run. Junior class is doing the wrecking ball and Academy State is doing the photo booth.
“My favorite part about the bonfire is doing all the games! Its so much fun to just talk and hangout with friends,” sophomore Shelby Beauchemin said.
Dance is one of the many clubs that is holding a fundraiser at the bonfire. They are selling popcorn for $1.50, Capri-Sun for $1.00 and candy for a $1.00. The funds are going to for their concert and supplies for the concert.
Fundraisers for this event include: DECA is having a canned food collection, Link Crew is selling hot chocolate, Voices is selling soda, water and hot dogs. HOSA sell ice cream, the baseball team will sell pizza, and Chamber Orchestra is selling cotton candy.
Captains of every sport will be lighting the bonfire. Senior Captain Ashley Martinez said, “My favorite part of the past bonfires are the flash dances and dancing with cheer in front of the fire!”
