On Wed., July 30, Link Crew hosted freshman orientation for freshmen and transfer students. New students were split into groups and given a tour of the campus, as well as participating in team-building activities.
Link Crew advisors Felissa Dixon and Monica Griffin hosted an assemble for the newcomers and the link crew leaders. After some ice breakers, it was time for the Link Crew leaders to take their assigned freshmen to a designated classroom.
In their classrooms, the Link Crew leaders ran through different activities to help get to know their freshmen and transfer studentsĀ and to teach them about McClintock.
“Freshman orientation was very helpful and through it I met some amazing people,” freshman Cassie Erhardt said. “The tour helped me with my classes and run-down of the school. The Link Crew break out session was the best part; with their games and peer-bonding. I felt more prepared for high school.”
To end the day, each group dressed up in a theme and came back to Doc Zinke Gym for the closing assembly.
