On Tues., Aug. 29th, the Arizona Association of Student Councils met at McClintock High School for the yearly conference. This was a very rare opportunity, as we are invited to host around every 10 years. 10 schools ended up showing up, including schools from Kyrene, Scottsdale, and Tempe (+ more). This event took months of planning and execution, culminating in an excellent experience for everybody.
The event included several performances from our own school, including Impulse Dance, Band, and Choir. We also had a DJ that was performing while all of the schools were arriving, and people could dance on the gym floor if they wanted to.
Following that, we split into two groups, where one went to the auditorium to watch an inspirational movie and listen to a speaker, and the other group stayed in the gym and listened to an inspiration speaker. We had a break after that, where we handed out snack bags. The groups then switched, and after they went to the other activity they all returned to the gym to listen to the director of AASC.
