On Mar., 30, 53 McClintock AVID students went to Flagstaff, AZ to take a tour of the Northern Arizona University.
McClintock AVID is a class taken by individuals who want to go the extra mile and stay on top of their classes, and get the help they need.
The students went on their way at 7:45 a.m. and were back to school by 5 p.m. During the day AVID had a chance to see what the NAU campus is like and some background information about the college and location.
This year there were only 53 available spots open for the students, so it was first come first serve.
There was a student e tour guide that showed the students all the different types of programs and buildings that NAU has to offer.
“The part I liked the most was being able to enjoy the weather and the campus with my friends,” freshman Vincent Gomez said.
For some students, mostly freshman, this was their first time going to NAU.
“I was excited to learn about their medical programs. I am planning to go to NAU, so I think it’ll give me a chance to see what it will be like, ” freshman Michelle Carreto said.
