This February, McClintock’s film class participated in the annual 2026 TUHSD film festival. McClintock produced eight of the twenty six short films that were submitted. Twenty total films went into judging and were narrowed down even further. Four of the eight McClintock films made it into the top 10, qualifying them for awards and guaranteeing they’d be shown in Pollack Cinema’s theater.
The top McClintock films are: All In, Divergence, SUNDOWN, and Weren’t Witches.
After screening all the short films, awards were announced. Weren’t Witches won Best Original Soundtrack (tied with Amor Fati), Best Screenplay, and 3rd place for Best Picture. SUNDOWN swept the festival with a whopping six awards for: Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Use of Prop, Audience Favorite, and 1st place Best Picture.
