On Oct. 4, Health teacher, Niki Steuck Sheppard and English teacher Nathan Sheppard said their vows at their Bohemian-themed wedding.
The wedding was family-oriented and attended by approximately 130 guests at Saguaro Lake Ranch. All of the decorations were handmade by Steuck and her father, including the programs.
“My favorite part of the wedding, this might sound cheesy, was walking through the door and seeing him [Sheppard] say his vows,” Sheppard said.
The newlyweds went to high school together but never really talked. Sheppard was a year ahead of Steuck. The two formally met while teaching at McClintock.
Steuck is keeping her last name until after her honeymoon in Dec. The reason behind Steuck waiting to change her name until after Dec. is because the two are going out of the country for their honeymoon and Steuck would not have enough time to change her name on her passport before the trip. When 2nd semester starts Steuck will officially be Mrs. Sheppard.
