Jermaine Whitaker has been named the new Assistant Principal of Athletics and will be assuming the job this summer. Whittaker currently works at Marcos de Niza.

Whitaker will be replacing Susan Edwards, who has worked at McClintock a total of 16 years, and five years as the Assistant Principal of Athletics.

“My favorite part of working at McClintock was interacting with the coaches and the children,” Edwards said.

Whitaker has plenty of experience with athletics. He has had experience coaching Track, Football, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball and Golf.

“When the opportunity for an Assistant Principal of Athletics became available, I could not pass this up. I have been a coach for 18 years and enjoy being around sports,” Whitaker said.

Whitaker hopes that next year he can bring excitement to McClintock sports and be a part of the rich tradition that McClintock has with sports.
