Sophomore Lily Fox is the first at McClintock High School to be a student advisor to the superintendent of schools.  It was a rigorous application process, and Fox was notified in the Spring that she was selected.

She meets with students around the valley, along with the State Superintendent Kathy Hoffman.

Lily says she’s really excited to speak her mind and do good things in the community.

She explained that the superintendent consults the board in matters of education and they get the opportunity to speak at a State Board of Education meeting.

Lily plans on discussing socioeconomic discrimination in gifted testing.
