All around campus there are countless clubs that have volunteer opportunities. Key Club is going to Oktoberfest, which takes place October 10-12 at Tempe Town Lake. Another volunteer opportunity that Peggy Payne Academy has is an Autism walk that takes place on October 26 at Tempe Beach Park.
Key Club is lead by Jane Winkle, who is also a science teacher. Key Club frequently volunteer opportunities.
The Key Club regularly volunteers for Feed my Starving Children. This is fun yet accomplishes getting food packaged for a good cause.
Oktoberfest is celebrated all around the world today, and is a huge deal in Germany, but it also takes place on a small scale in Arizona. Oktoberfest will have many activities to do, like 10k/5k/and 1mile foot races, along with food, food, and even more food. National Honor Society will be volunteering at the Oktoberfest. This year Key Club will be going to Oktoberfest the 10th, 11th, and the 12th.
Peggy Payne is a special program that McClintock has to offer, for gifted and talented students. The PPA director is Laura Zinke. Peggy Payne Academy Senate has also coordinated volunteer opportunities.
A volunteer opportunity that Peggy Payne has to offer is the Autism Walk at Tempe Beach Park. This is a walk that helps support all people who have autism. Walkers can choose from a 5k or a 1mile family friendly route. There is no fee for the walk but you can donate.
