New Chemistry/Physics foundations teacher, Cathy Cullicott is ready for the adventure of the year, and excited for her students to learn about the subject she loves.

“(My ultimate goal for the semester is having) my students to improve their ability to understand science,” Cullicott said.

Cullicott is not new to teaching. She has taught in Colorado, New Mexico, and here in Arizona. She has worked on Navajo reservations, and the Jicarilla Apache reservation. She’s mostly taught in high schools, but she also coached middle school volleyball.

“My goal is to always do a good job,” Cullicott said.

Cullicott was born in Washington D.C. but she grew up in Virginia. Cullicott learned French in high school, but she says she only speaks some now. She went to college at Princeton, and moved west studying geology. Her husband met her through a Japanese martial art, Aikido.
