Requirements to graduate can often slip a student’s mind during the school year. It’s good to keep an eye out to make sure that one is on track for graduation.

The graduation requirements are as follows:

  • Four credits of English
  • Four credits of Mathematics
  • Three credits of Science
  • One credit of World History and Geography
  • One credit of American History
  • Half a credit of U.S./Arizona Government
  • Half a credit of Economics
  • Half a credit of Health Education
  • One credit of Physical Education
  • One credit of Fine Arts/ Practical Arts/ Vocational Education
  • One credit of Fine Arts/ Vocational Education
  • Five and a half credits of Electives

In total, students need 23 credits.

In the case that a student needs to change their courses to stay on track to graduate, the option of changing your class is only around for a certain amount of time.

“ After the first ten days of class, we can’t switch your classes anymore. Only level changes,” Guidance Counselor Monica Griffin said.

If a student plans plan on going to a certain college or university, he would need to check the requirements to see what that school will require of students to attend.

“Two years of foreign language are not required to graduate. However, they are required to attend a four year university,”  Griffin said.

To check course history, students should go to the StudentVue; a link can be found on our school website, and log in. In the navigation bar,  the option “course history” should appear. Click on it and you will be able to see your course history.
