Students of McClintock have racked up a bad reputation with the neighboring restaurants they tend to visit during lunch and especially after school. Last year there were several incidences that involved students from McClintock including foul language, fights, and even loitering.
According to Taco Bell’s employee, Anna, “Students tend to be rambunctious and they created a non-safe environment last year”.
Taco Bell is considered a family business and the excess bad language and loitering results in the other customers being scared away.
One of the most popular restaurants around McClintock for students is Lobby’s and their employee, Sam, states that, “After school it is packed and we have to be more watchful because the students tend to steal stuff and scare away any other customers”.
Not to mention, McDonald’s worker, Wendy, speaks out that although the students help makes sales, “They could be a bit nicer, the students that come in are very rude”.
Although most restaurants have had some bad exposure to McClintock students, Water n’ Ice employee, Vincent, states that, “The owner says he doesn’t have any problems with the students that come in and hang out” the students boost sales and there have been no horror stories.
Water n’ Ice is one of the popular places for students to go because it is in walking distance of the school and has decent prices. Starbucks is also a great place to go and the employees “don’t mind students hanging around because that is what a café is for” although, they should be aware of their surroundings.
Overall, there have been no occurrences this year with the students and the neighboring businesses.
