Since the first day of school on Mon., Aug. 4, McClintock’s pleothera of various clubs and organizations have been getting underway. Now they’re getting ready to start their assorted events. Here are a few to keep in mind for the month August as students get back into the swing of the school year.
The Peggy Payne Academy is holding an Open House on Wed., Aug. 13. Freshmen PPA students and their parents are invited to attend this informational meeting.
Club Rush takes over senior lawn on Fri., Aug. 15. Nearly all of McClintock’s clubs will be represented at this festival-like event. New students are encouraged to browse through the many clubs to find the ones that they would enjoy being a part of.
An Open House for all students will take place in the Doc Zinke Gym on Mon., Aug. 18. In addition to clubs, sport tables will be present for this introduction to McClintock life.
The Arizona Association of Student Councils is holding a Spirit Conference in the Boyle Auditorium on Tues., Aug. 26. Youth motivational speaker Scott Backovich will talk to the student body about this year’s theme, “Leadership to the MAX!” in celebration of the AASC’s 80th anniversary.
