On Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, there will be a dance concert in Boyle Auditorium at 7 PM. The theme is “Games.”
“The fall concert is games themed,” Senior Traise Wilkinson said. “It means that each dance will be based on a board game, video game, computer game, or playground game.”
Those who attend will get to see different things in terms of props, costumes, and styles of dance.
“Someone who goes to the show should expect to see different takes on the games they have known for years,” Wilkinson said.
Dances for the fall concert have been coming together since the very first day of school with different students choreographing different songs.
“I’m most excited to perform the Clash of Clans dance choreographed by [senior] Elieana Herrera because it’s high energy and students will be able to tell between the different characters,” Senior KiAnna Colter said.
Along with practicing during class, dancers have also taken time out of their day to practice outside of school.
“Everyday in class we learn and practice our dances and we have a two hour after school rehearsal once a week,” Wilkinson said. “Then the week of the concert we rehearse all week in the auditorium during and after school.”
Tickets for the dance concert will be $5 for students and $6 for adults. The fall dance concert is a highly anticipated event.
“All of the dances are really amazing and different; the music alone is enough for people to want to come,” Wilkinson said.
